Hoya golamcoana Kloppenburg

This hoya comes from the Philippines and it was described in 1991.

Hoya golamcoana is a hoya best suitable for growing wrapped around a support. It has a shrub like growth. The leaves are dark green with visible center veins. The size of the leaves varies from 3-5 cm long and 2.5-3 cm wide. My experience of this plant is that it tends to loose the bottom leaves after a while, but then I have it's very easy to reroot - even longer cuttings.

It has been said that this hoya and Hoya densifolia are synonymes to Hoya cumingiana, but until this is certain I will let Hoya golamcoana keep its name and its own page here. Earlier it was spelled golamcoiana, but the i has been removed.

The flowers are white reflexed with coronas that are white with a red center. You'll find 10-15 flowers in an umbel. The flowers have a strong spicy fragrance and they last about a week.
