Hoya hybrid 'MM'

I bought this hoya as a rooted cutting in April 2005. It was on a trip to Stenåsa i Varberg together with other Hoyafreaks and I told myself also this time that I wasn't going to buy any more hoyas... That was until I saw this one with its clear green almost plastic leaves... It was marked as Hoya hybrid 'MM' (MM probably stood for Michael Mirashiro), but I'm starting to think it might be the one called HSI-037.

When repotting it several years ago I chose to cut the long vine. I just stuck the cut half on the other side of the support. It rooted even though the cutting was rather big. The plant has now gotten really nice and big and I discovered a peduncle and small buds already in the fall of 2011, but they fell of when they were still small... When it grew buds the second time I thought it took forever before they opened. This was in March 2012 and the flowers are really gorgeous. They remind a lot of pubicalyx, but the flowers are not as hairy ans pubicalyx and these flowers are also bigger than for example 'Red Button' and 'Jungle Garden'. See the comparison photo at the bottom of this page.
