Hoya chlorantha var. tutuilensis

I bought this hoya as a rooted cutting in May 2004 from Botanova in northern Sweden. They called it Hoya betchei, and they have described it as having medium sized thin leaves that have sharp points. The flowers are described to be very pretty and mixed red.

I did find some information that it should be some variation of Hoya chlorantha, and now I have received further information that it is true and that the Hoya betchei in trade should be called Hoya chlorantha var. tutuilensis. The "true" Hoya chlorantha has green flowers.

This year (2006) it has grown more than ever and has turned into a nice plant with thick foliage. On March 24th I noticed a tiny peduncle on my plant. It bloomed in June and since then it has bloomed several times and there are now lots of new peduncles forming... A definite flower favourite!
