Hoya glabra Schlechter

This Hoya comes from Borneo, Malaysia and it was described in 1908.

This Hoya has really big leaves and needs a lot of space already from the beginning. It has a twining growth and can get really big in just a couple of years. The leaves seem to get bigger with age. The size of the leaves seem to vary between 9-16 cm long and 7-9 cm wide. The leaves are tri-nerved, have some silver flecks and this hoya is mainly grown for the leaves.

The flowers have corollas that are pale pink in the middle and darker tips and the coronas are almost white with a dark pink circle in the middle. The flowers are reflexed, have no nectar or fragrance and are said to only last a couple of hours.
