This hoya comes from
the Philippines and it was described
in 1918. |
|
This hoya has rather
big leaves, about 10-17 cm long and 7-12 cm wide and there are some
flecks. The leaves are of some green colour, but my plant is more red
than green. This hoya has among the most gorgeous foliage I have ever
seen! The leaves can get really big too. The biggest om my relatively
young plant is 12x17 cm and can be seen on the next page. |
|
The flowers turned out to be a very
nice surprise. They are flat, have yellow corolla and white corona. They
are about 2 cm each and produce little nectar. The fragrance was something
else too. I found this hoya to smell heavenly of SOMETHING! I couldn't put my
finger on WHAT the fragrance was like at first, but it's a lot like
lavender... The downside of these flowers is
that they only lasted about 3 days. |
