Hoya shepherdii Short ex. Hooker

This hoya comes from northern India and it was described in 1861.

This is a hoya that can be grown both hanging and wrapped on a support. It has a twining growth. The thick leaves are narrow, about 1 cm wide and 8-18 cm long. The leaves are dark green but lighter green underneath. It's a fairly easy hoya to grow and it flowers willingly.

The flowers are flat, white corolla and white corona with a pink center. They are almost 2 cm, produce big drops of nectar and have a fresh fragrance. These flowers last about a week.
